The Impact Factor® (also known as the Journal Impact Factor) is a proprietary product in Journal Citation Reports, owned by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters).
JCU does not currently subscribe to Journal Citation Reports. For finding metrics to assist you with comparing journal reach and impact, we recommend using Source-normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP) or Scimago Journal Rank (SJR) , which can be accessed via Scopus (you can also access Scimago directly). You can also use Scopus' CiteScore rankings.
If you have a particular journal in mind, you might be able to find the impact factor (as well as other metrics) on the journal's home page. Many publishers are including this information in their pages about their journals.
It is still possible to check the JCR (Journal Citation Reports) Quartile Category for individual journals in Web of Science. When you search for articles, click on the name of the journal in the results list (or open the record for the article and click on "View Journal Impact") and you will see in what Quartile that journal ranks for various categories. You can also search directly for a particular journal. In Basic Search, set your search option to "Publication name" and type in the name of the journal.
