The publisher accepted version of a journal article has been peer reviewed, edited, typeset, and formatted but has not yet been assigned to a volume of the journal it is published in. These in-press articles are usually published with the description of “early access” or “online first” before being formally assigned to a volume or issue of the publication and are subject to the same copyright provisions as the final version of record.
