If somebody has offered to sell you essays or assignments, or to sit your exam for a fee, then you have most likely been targeted by a contract cheating service. They may also ask you to upload your previous course work so it is available to other students.

These services are not legal in Australia and we would encourage you to report websites, emails, flyers, cards etc that offer these services.

Go to report a cheating service for further information and to make a report.

JCU fosters environments that promote academic integrity, professional behaviour, and ethical standards.

Are you confused or concerned about what counts as "cheating" or "plagiarism"? The Learning Centre has resources to help you understand Academic Integrity and the Library's Referencing Guide has a section to help you recognise and avoid plagiarism.

We are here to support you to develop the skills you need to complete your assessments successfully. We created the Infoskills Toolkit to provide you with useful knowledge to help you handle finding and using information in the academic environment.

If you need help planning and writing your assignment the Learning Centre is an excellent source of support and guidance.
