Standards Australia applies Digital Rights Management (DRM) to all documents that are downloaded or printed. This is to ensure that any use of the document is not in breach of the license agreement or copyright legislation.

SAI Global currently uses Vitrium to provide DRM to files and downloaded documents will need to be opened using Adobe Reader or PDF Exchange.

Previously, all JCU staff and students needed to install the Adobe Reader plugin known as FileOpen on any device you are using before downloading or printing the document. This is no longer true, but FileOpen will still be needed to view any older documents that you downloaded when SAI Global was using FileOpen for DRM.

N.B. You can read the documents online using SAI Global's in-built View Online feature. This FAQ is only for reading PDFs that you have downloaded.
