I want to borrow a book, but I don't know how long I'll be able to keep it for

All checked-in items in the Main Collection, Curriculum Collection and Music Collection are set to 3 Week Loan (items in other collections are usually not for loan, or may only be borrowable under special conditions).
An item that has been checked out and has been heavily requested will be moved to 3 Day Loan status (High Use). It will return to 3 Week Loan status when the requests have dropped off.
When you log into One Search to place a hold on an item that has been checked out, you will see if it is a 3 Week Loan or a 3 Day Loan.
Short term loans (such as items lecturers have requested to be put on a restricted loan periods, equipment and recreational games) are located at the Library Desk as noted in One Search. Loan times are variable depending on the item (3-48 hours). You can see their loan period under their location in the item record, once you have logged in.
Library staff are happy to assist you with finding the loan times for items if you have any trouble.
