Q. I am between employment contracts at JCU. I can't access my staff account at the library. Can I still borrow from the library? Can I still renew the books on my library account?
I am a staff member at the university and I work on a contract basis, but I am currently not on contract. Can I still borrow library books and use the library services? What happens to the resources I currently have on loan?
Borrowing and renewing items is only available to current staff members. Staff members whose contract or employment is about to finish will receive an email reminder to return all outstanding items to the library - all items on loan must be returned to the library to avoid fines.
If the items are still required, patrons may be eligible to join as alumni (conditions apply) or as a community member for $55 per year.
Please note: it is your responsibility to manage your loans and ensure your contact details with the library are up to date.
If you are also currently enrolled as a postgraduate student or have registered as alumni, request library staff transfer your loans to this account so that notices will be sent to a current email address.
Please contact library staff before overdue charges accumulate.
