Q. I have taken a leave of absence from study. Can I still borrow from the library? Can I still renew the books on my library account?
I am on a leave of absence from the university and am not currently enrolled in any subjects. Can I still borrow from the library and use the library resources? What happens with the books I currently have out on loan?
Borrowing and related services, including renewal, are only available to currently enrolled students. Students whose enrolment is not current (i.e., leave of absence or graduated) may be eligible to join as alumni https://www.jcu.edu.au/library/client/alumni. Please note the different loan period and amount.
JCU students must return all information resources before they leave the University, even if the absence or change in enrolment status is only temporary.
If you have registered as alumni, request library staff transfer your loans to this account so that notices will be sent to a current email address. Please contact library staff before overdue charges accumulate.
