Q. Is the library open on public holidays?

The Library is open from 1pm-5pm on most public holidays, however the Library is closed on Australia Day, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.  The Eddie Koiki Mabo Library in Townsville is closed for the Townsville Show Holiday, and the Cairns Library is closed on the Cairns Show Holiday.  The Library also closes for a week over the Christmas/New Years period, closing at 12pm on Christmas Eve and re-opening on January 2 or the next week day if January 2 falls on a weekend.  Check our website for details.
