The academic year (also know as the time period) is a drop down option. It is used (along with the hierarchy) to allow LearnJCU to find and link to the correct list in Readings.
These time periods relate to LearnJCU and Readings compliance and maintenance procedures and must be completed.

Simply put is used for subjects that have a census date before June 31st in any year, is used for subjects with census dates after July 1st.

There may be some exceptions, below we have broken down which time period you should use based on study periods.

If in doubt check your LearnJCU Subject Site code (can be found at the top right of the site) this code will start with 2 digits (the year) then a letter or B. This is the time period you need to use for your list.

Note: If your subject is taught in both and time periods you will need a list for each, include the SP in the list name to make it clear to students which version of the list they should use.

If you are unsure which option to use-talk to your liaison librarian.

Select the Time period that encompasses your subject’s study period.
