Q. How do I use a DOI to get the full text of a journal article?

You can search for DOIs on One Search by pasting the DOI (just the number) directly into the search box

1. Go to https://dx.doi.org/ (or use form below)
2. Paste the DOI into the doi: text box
3. Click Go

You can also append a DOI to https://doi.org/ to get a link to full text, e.g. for the DOI 10.7589/2016-09-202 use:

https://doi.org/10.7589/2016-09-202

If the linked resource is not Open Access link users may have to 'login via institution/OpenAthens' to view full text.
