It would be great if we could provide a base level of support for SPSS but it isn’t possible because most enquiries about SPSS are entwined with software-independent stats questions.

The Graduate Research School (GRS) provides a workshop called “Introduction to Research Design & Statistics (SPSS)”. We recommend that you attend that workshop. See the GRS Research Skills Program Handbook.

The GRS also has a StatsHelp Program.

Due to the high number of requests for advice through the StatsHelp program, the GRS provide access to an online course called “Epigeum Statistical Methods for Research Modules” which is available through LearnJCU for all Higher Degree Resarchers. HDRs are required to do this module prior to asking for a StatsHelp meeting. This ensures the StatsHelp Service can focus on your specific needs rather than repeating the basics and stalling your research while you wait for an appointment.
