SAI global display standards in a iframe which has an unchanging static address:

https://www.saiglobal.com/online/autologin.asp (when EZproxied https://www-saiglobal-com.elibrary.jcu.edu.au/online/autologin.asp)

So when bookmarked in Talis all the links point to the same general search/browse page

The trick is to identify the value for DocN (Document Number) for the required standard and append it to the standard iframe source URL of:

http://elibrary.jcu.edu.au/login?url=https://www.saiglobal.com/online/Script/Details.asp?DocN=

And use the resulting URL as the Web Address for the reading

Identifying the DocN for the standard

In Chrome and Firefox

  1. Find the Standard
    Standard standard display

  2. Right click on the View Document Icon and select Inspect / Inspect Element
    Inspect element

  3. This will display the source html around the element. Directly above the image code is the link that includes the DocN value
    Source code

  4. Copy the value and append it the standard iframe source URL e.g.
    http://elibrary.jcu.edu.au/login?url=https://www.saiglobal.com/online/Script/Details.asp?DocN=amdm000436699
  5. Paste the resulting URL into Web Address and ensure Link To is set to Web Address

Firefox Only Shortcut to identifying DocN

  1. Right click anywhere in the information page for a standard and select This Frame>Show Only This Frame
    Show frame only

  2. The DocN will display in Firefox's address part as part of the URL
Frame only showing DocN in URL

  3. Paste the resulting URL into Web Address and ensure Link To is set to Web Address
