This can occur in some situations in Find It @ JCU Library. It is a browser-specific issue.

Resolution

We recommend using Firefox or Chrome until Safari devs resolve the issue.

Technical Explanation

Issues occur in Safari when iframes (the sidebar) are being used. This is likely due to cross-domain cookies: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/408582/setting-cross-domain-cookies-in-safari

"Safari ships with a conservative cookie policy which limits cookie writes to only the pages chosen ("navigated to") by the user. This default conservative policy may confuse frame based sites that attempt to write cookies and fail."

The 405 (method not allowed) error may be related to a user not having initiated a GET or POST request to the domain of the site, but rather to the iframe.

It doesn't look like there's a solution to this issue, so we just try to steer patrons to other browsers.
